Success, fights and drama at Slovakiaring
The weekend of the Slovakiaring was a mixed one for the team. On the one side we are very proud of Davit Kajaia who nailed the weekend and scored two podium finishes after both of our drivers achieved P1 and P2 during the first qualifying. It was clear that we had to fight the super strong local hero Mato Homwola and his Hyundai Team. Nevertheless, the results showed a very promising trajectory for the weekend. Therefore we all were devastated when René Kirchers car showed a technical issue resulting in a disqualification for race #1 and the start from the very last row in race #2. What René Kircher then fired off was probably the best performance of the whole season so far. From P18 he did what a real racer would do – maximum speed, fair fights and striving for the best position possible. He finally crossed the finish line as P6 which felt like a victory to everybody. Awesome job!
The upcoming break until the next race we all will use to recharge batteries, Revision the cars, especially indentifying the technical problem in car #8. Just in time to come back to track and fight for all the championships at TCR Eastern Europe.
