MERTEL Motorsport competes for Germany with Axel Sartingen and René Kircher in the DMSB's Motorsport Team Germany at the FIA Motorsport Games 2024

This year in October the time has come again: the third FIA Motorsport Games will take place in Valencia from 23 to 27 October 2024. German AM drivers will compete in 21 of the 26 motorsport disciplines in the DMSB’s Motorsport Team Germany. In this unique motorsport event, they will compete against participants from over 100 nations for gold, silver and bronze medals for their country.

MERTEL Motorsport is delighted to be taking part in this exceptional motorsport event. Successful in the official Ferrari Challenge Europe and also in the TCR Eastern Europe, MERTEL Motorsport was able to position itself well and present successful drivers for the team.

In the Single GT / Ferrari Challenge category, Axel Sartingen from Cologne will be competing for Germany in the Ferrari 296 Challenge with MERTEL Motorsport. Sartingen, who entered motorsport only a few years ago as a gentleman driver, has achieved amazing success in a short space of time thanks to his exceptional talent, absolute discipline and passion for motorsport. No more fitting driver could represent Germany in Valencia in the Single GT / Ferrari Challenge category. Sartingen became champion of the Coppa Shell in the official Ferrari Challenge Europe 2023 and also world champion in the international competition of the 2023 series at the Finali Mondiali in Mugello, Italy.

MERTEL Motorsport is fighting for the title in the Touring Car category with René Kircher in the Honda Civic TCR. René Kircher, a successful young driver from Hünfeld in the TCR Eastern Europe, won the Junior Trophy with MERTEL Motorsport in 2023 and finished second in the championship. A motorsport driver since the age of 8, he has already achieved success in various junior series, including the ADAC TCR Germany and the Renault Clio Cup Central Europe.

Valencia – a spectacular venue
The choice of Valencia as the venue for the 2024 FIA Motorsport Games gives the event a special atmosphere. The city is known for its passion for motorsport, and the Circuit Ricardo Tormo offers a technically demanding track with 14 corners and several straights – the longest of which is 876 metres, which promises exciting racing for both drivers and spectators and is driven in an anti-clockwise direction. A special feature of the Racetrack is the race track embedded in a stadium, which can be seen from all 65,000 seats in the grandstands. The backdrop of the Mediterranean Sea and the cultural diversity of Valencia will contribute to making the 2024 FIA Motorsport Games an unforgettable experience.
